Grandmaster Murphy began training in Korean Martial Arts in 1978 and obtained 1st dan in Hapkido and Taekwondo on January 15^th 1984 and 8th dan Moosulkwan Hapkido and Chang Hun Taekwondo on July 27^th 2010. He attained his 8th dan from World Kido Federation on October 20^th 2012, and his 9th dan from KBMA on June 19^th 2019.

Follow the virtues and principles of the Hwa Rang.
Follow and maintain, in good faith, the rules and guidelines as set forth by the governing bodies of the International Jun Tong Mu Sool Kwan™.

The Master’s Exhibition capped off the largest Tournament held outside of Korea, honoring the World Kido Federation & Hanminjok Hapkido Association and was hosted near Dallas by the JTMS Martial Arts Group (now known as the International Jun Tong Mu Sool Kwan™). It was attended by a multitude of practitioners from various countries across the globe.
